March Becomes the Best Month of the Year
In March 2025, the Colombian automotive sector showed outstanding performance, with 18,347 units sold, representing a 37.5% growth compared to March 2024.
According to data from Fenalco and Andi, March 2025 stands out as the best month of the year in vehicle registrations. During the first quarter, 49,846 new vehicles were registered, reflecting a 23% growth compared to the same period in 2024.
Growth in Electric and Hybrid Vehicles
Sales of electric vehicles saw a remarkable increase of 264.5%, with 1,385 units sold in March. Meanwhile, hybrid vehicles also showed significant growth, rising by 47%, with a total of 4,430 units sold.
Segments with Highest Growth
During the month, the segments that experienced the most notable growth were:
- SUVs: 49.5% increase
- Pickup Trucks: 47% growth
- Cars: 27% growth
Cities with Highest Sales Growth
Manizales led vehicle sales growth with an impressive 144% increase, followed by:
- Ibagué: 132%
- Neiva: 85%
- Mosquera: 75%
- Funza: 66%
Best-Selling Brands in March
The five brands with the highest number of registrations in March were Renault, Kia, Toyota, Chevrolet, and Mazda, representing 54.4% of the total registered vehicles:
- Renault: 2,582 units
- Kia: 2,442 units
- Toyota: 1,852 units
- Chevrolet: 1,623 units
- Mazda: 1,483 units
Most Popular Models
The lines with the highest market share were Toyota Corolla Cross, Renault Duster, Mazda CX-30, Kia Picanto, and Chevrolet Onix, representing 16.6% of total registrations:
